According to James Schrader, previous owner of the land where Schrader Farms Subdivision
was built, there has been a Red Fox den along the creek bank on the SW corner of
Lakeview farms for at least 70 years. As one fox dies, a new generation moves into this ideally
situated location. Fox are normally very reclusive animals that
are most active during the cooler part of the day like early morning or
sunset. When a mother has a litter of pups (baby fox), however, our early
rising strawberry and raspberry customers sometimes get a rare glimpse of the
mother pulling guard duty while her pups frolic in the farm dirt piles.
There always seems to be plenty of "fast food" for the fox at
Lakeview Farms
