Indonesian Bottle Gourd

Indonesian Bottle gourds are large, versatile gourds that can be made into birdhouses, Shekeres (African bead drums) and toys.


To achieve a straight, vertical neck the gourd must be grown on a trellis -- a very expensive and time consuming process which means it will be more expensive than the normally curved necks shown in the green gourd shown below.
