Black Raspberries are hitting their peak

Scattered Black Raspberry picking has been going for a week or so but it looks like we should have a excellent supply of ripe berries available for serious customers for Tuesday, June 24. As always early in the season, there may be days when the flow of customers exceeds the supply of berries. If you are coming specifically for black raspberries, it would be a good idea to call right before you come just to make sure that we are still have black raspberry picking available that morning. Remember that we have only one 300 ft. row planted and may need to shut down for a day or two between pickings to allow the berries a chance to ripen properly.

Yellow Raspberries are still available

So far, there still appears to be an fair supply of the small but sweet yellow raspberry, Fall Gold, available. Honey Queen did suffer almost total cane damage this winter so our overall supply of yellow raspberries is less than 2013. Nova Red Raspberry picking finally looks great The Nova late red raspberry was slow to start but it's finally starting to look loaded with ripe berries. Our early Reveille crop is still available for those who prefer a berry with less tartness. For more information on our Raspberries see http://www.lakeview-farms.com/Raspberry_Picking.htm.
