Lakeview Farms

Strawberry picking will start Memorial Day, May 28

Two Helpers While some variability in ripening from one row to the next is normal early in the season, 2018 may prove especially challenging to "early bird" pickers who will again need to cover a little extra ground like last year. I would not recommend coming with the expectation of bringing home huge quantities of berries but if you need just a few fresh-from-the-farm berries, this "early bird" picking might be just right for you. The Cabot seems extremely variable row to row with an unusual range of size and assortment of shapes on the earliest coloring berries. Current plans are to start picking on Monday, May 28 -- almost 2 weeks later than last year! We will open at 7:30 AM and close when we run out of berries or 11:00 AM -- whichever comes first. Peak strawberry picking for 2018 will probably be the first two weeks of June.

Early in the season, it is always a good idea (particularly if you are coming later in the morning) to call the farm (636-978-8830) right before you drive out to get an up-to-date status report on strawberry availability and picking conditions.
